hi everyone! i just got a general email from one PD, in that letter he misprinted my name i mean the name on that letter is of different candidate, but the date he mentioned when i interviewed is correct, and i know no one by that name interviewed on that day. so shd i inform them abt this, or it is a common thing?
plz help!

yes, send an email or call them and correct the issue, I guess they misplaced the letters in the wrong envelope, don't worry, not a big issue.

I would reply, in a way that received email is also appear in reply, to that email in formal way, showing my interest in program (provided you do have interest in that program) and at the end provide you detail name.
Most of the time, it is just a typing error.... you have received that email proves that they have your correct email address in their record and also they are sending such email personally to each candidate.. (I mean to say, it is not just general email to all candidates narrating Dear Candidates...blah blah blah...)
