GBS and prophylaxis? - zafirlukast

Antepartum
With Amoxicillin in PPROM (Crush)

Intrapartum
With Ampicillin (Crush)
With IV Pen G (Kaplan)

Which one is correct? Any ObGy here?

you do a screening test for GBS at 34 weeks if it positive you treat it intra partum with IV ampicilin. I am future OB GYN.
You never treat it before that. because GBS is normal in teh vagina so if you treat it at 25 , still present the posibility to have an infection at labor. so always treat it intrapartun wiht IV panicilin. is pat is allergic, try with cephalosporin or azitro, claritro
