hi justin-md, Did you just do observership ? or you also did externship? how long is your USCE? What specialty did you apply? Thanks a lot for your sharing experience.

its an ACGME-accredited fellowship program which i did for 1 year, 2 yrs after I finished residency in my home country I applied for Surgery/IM

Thanks. Looks USCE is very important. Any info or advice to apply for some special fellowing program for IMG with green card ?

I am an old graduate(1997).....cleared all three steps in 1st attempt....scores 90 and 84....no us experience but recent 11 month canadian clinical experience......I have cleared canadian boards also.......planning to give step 3 very soon....can anybody tell me what are my chances of getting residency.....I am interested in IM or FM and I will need working visa as well.....please let me know in which areas I should apply........any other suggestions most welcome....

shazly, you have good background, like Canadian clin exp and good score. I think you have a very good chance of getiing into residency, either IM or FM. Good luck.
