What is FCVS? When do we need to do this? - bharat28

Can anyone plz tell me if IMGS need to prepare and submit FCVS or is it only for US grads? When do we submit this.. after step 3?

This is an agency who verifies credentials for those students who finished med school outside the U.S. The cost is high. This is not a prerequisite in almost all states. Louisiana med board might require us to use FCVS in the future.
You don't need to do this at all. You can always email, call your school's registar's office and dean office for them to mail the documents directly to the state licensing board at a much lesser cost.
FCVS is convenient though but they cost much plus everytime you request your credentials to be forwarded to the state med board, you have to pay each time, aside from the initial fee.

I read in FSMB website that that IMGs in New york state must use FCVS .....???
