Thyroid hormone:
A. Is not secreted by the fetal thyroid until the last few weeks of gestation.
B. In amniotic fluid show levels of rT3 higher than in the maternal circulation.
C. Levels in the neonate show a dramatic decrease of active hormone within a few minutes after birth.
D. In the fetus is not influenced by TSH since TSH is not secreted until shortly before birth.
