exam experience!! - sash
#1
hi guys i finished from step 3 and would like to share my experience so that it will be helpful for future exam takers.
First of all its a very tiring exam as it is for two days..
The first day i felt the questions were very vague and though not very lengthy, it consumes time reading them as the question will be very different. Each patient will have diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension and all risk factors.
Geriatrics is the most tested. Will be able to answer ethics questions if read UW and Washington manual.Lot of dermatology pictures like rash and treatment(all kind of rash)
the second was better as it was very similar to UW and Kaplan Q book, but again time management is very important..had two ECGs, CT scans , Chest xrays, abdominal xray.CCS is manageable as all cases were from UW. All cases ended at correct time 20 mins except for one which ended in 10 mins.
Over all i am not able to assess my self and hoping to pass.
As for my preparation, I prepared for 2 months with UW, kaplan Q book, CCS-UW, CK notes, FA step 3.
NBME sore was 480 which i took ten days before the exam.
if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.
and good luck for all who is yet to take the exam.
