Pheochromocytoma - strongman
#1
in USMLErX, phenoxybenzamine and phentolamine are preferred drugs for Pheochromocytoma. but in kapan Q bank, prazosin is the preferred medicine because alpha2 receptor is good for prevention of caridac symptoms. in my own experience, at least in europe, we always used phenoxybenzamine and phentolamine. can someboby plz explain a little bit on this issue? thanks.

Is maybe an error. what I know is that nonselective alpha antagonists are used in the treatment of pheochromocytoma whereas alpha1-selective antagonists are used in primary hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia
