inactivation of the Na+/K+ pump will cause
a. an increase in the intracellular volume
b.an increase in the intracellular potassium concentration
c. hyperpolarisation of the membrane potential
d.an increase in the excitability of nerve cell
e. an increase in the flow of sodium out of he cell

b?

I dont think it can be B. although the pump is block there are the ungated K+ channels that are always open. these result in a efflux of K+ from the cell at all times.
so if anyting the K+ concentration in the cell should decrease. Am i right?

i dont have the answer of this question...i guess that the answer is A ( due to the inhibition of Na-K pump ATP ase ( No-Kia) does not work...so more Na inside...( increase intracellular volume).
the problem is answer C...Hyperpolarization of the membrane potential??? what do you think about that?
