issue of transcript - kyr
#1
ECFMG has not yet recd my transcrpit from my med school. On enquring from my school, they did not receive the letter requesting transcript in march 2007.

I requested ECFMG to send the letter again to the school and it seems it takes them 3 weeks to send out the letter, evn if i pay them to send by FEDEX.

Any alternative to this? Has anybody been in this situation?
I will get my last step result next mnth and will be eligible for ECFMG certfn immediately then ( hopefully). Applying for 2008 match.
Can i still go thru all the prcedures of token and application if the ECFMG applcn is still pending?

you need ECFMG certificate at the time of ranking your programs ,most favorable is this, though some programs say you need to be certified before starting residency.
so token and work on ERAS application can be done without cerificate.

hi bidd, thanks for sharing ur experience. Now, it seems i have to apply for transcript again, as the one i have shows hours spent in each course, rather than marks.

Did you guys called ECFMG about this?

some medschools if not familiar with ECFMG processing (e.i diploma and transcript verification) forget to send transcript along with the diploma. It happened to me and whta i did is to request frm them again my transcript, send directly to Mr Kurpell of ECFMG.
