I heard that there are filters used by Programs for screening in only ECFMG certified and those candidates who passed all the tests in 1st attempt.
How true is that?
And if its true, do all programs use screens?
I ll be applying for psychiatry with only Step 1 and CS......I am worried about these filters......

obviously some sort of filters are used by every prog, they receive tons of applications, so it is logical to put some sort of filters

Programs may get i.e. 1000 applications for 10 spots. Hence they have filters set to screen applications as they come in.

These filters, a.k.a application criteria, selection criteria can usually be found on the programs website.

Most commonly these filter have to do with Step 1 & 2CK scores, step 2CS passsing, # of attempts on USMLE, ECFMG certification, year of graduation and visa status.
