Fellowship position without USMLE - nunwa

i am a MD from india and want to know the procedure for applying to a fellowship position
I dont ant to answer exams and wold like to go back after finishing fellowship
Is it possible to get into a fellowship program for pulmonology
without answering USMLE?
or is it very competitive?

USMLE is a must, either for residency or fellowship

i think USMLE is a must if one wants to practise in the US...my impression is one can complete fellowship here without USMLE and leave the country
