DONOT GIVE ACETAMINOPHEN CONTINOUS

GIVE STAT DOSE

AND THEN PRN

BUT THEN AGAIN THERE IS NO OPTION FOR PRN IN THE SOFTWARE

we dont give acetaminpphen continous because we want to monitor if the neutropenic patients are responding to the antibioticssssssss

exactly you are right.I have an idea and thats just checking interval hist. and pe if pt is in severe pain or fever it is indicated to prescribe it prn which you can type stat .and then in the next checking of pt you will see the results.

For neutropenic patients you have to monitor ANC ( Absolute neutrophil count ) . If it is >1000 and all cultures negative you can stop ABX in 48 hrs to 72 hrs
