Hi forum member,
Would like take some advise on this: I just got an offer to do an observership in CARDIOLOGY at a very good university.
My question is: -Is it too late to attend it and get an LOR from the Dr's. or its better to finish off my step 3?
Your input will be appreciated..
Thanks.

Besides getting LoR I think observership is a good opportunity to make contacts and try and secure an interview and better still a place if where you do it there is a residency program. And again, I don't think you can read for step 3 whole day everyday, a few hrs a day should be enough and use that time to do the attachment and read at night unless you have other commitmants.

One of the popular questions PDs like to ask (as I have been told by a friend who attended 10 IVs last year) is "so tell me, have you ever worked in a US hospital".........My point is that , it is never late to do an observership/externship regardless of getting a LoR or not.
