like digoxin, control heart failure, give anticoagulant...if large aneurism and refractory to meds can do surgery.

ventricular aneurysm if it causes retractable heart failure or significant arrytyhmia or is source of embolus should be resected surgically.

Aneurysm: agree with cemmsk

RF:

for carditis: bed rest + ASA +/- steroid, for chorea: anticonvulsive,
for long term prevention: PenV, if allergic: Sulfadiazine
if you are given a case of Syd Cho, it is more likely they want you to remember longterm prevention. giving Ben Pen IV is useless when Cho Syd present as it happens only weeks later after the infection (I guess oblonga had a question and was looking for it).
Giving anticonvulstive is not needed most of the time as well, because it is self-limiting (7-10days), unless very severe.
