Dear docs...been studying since NOV 2006,u can imagine the stress of such a long period...I want to take exam on NOV...am tired of this anxiety and bad mood....but did not do FA and UW yet....I did kaplan q bank,BRS and kaplan notes twice..in the other hand I am not planning for the Match of 2008...so there is no hurry....should I just relax and take more time for my exam...or rush and crash....thanx a lot for ur guidance...may GOD bless u!

just keep on studying take one nbme after a month or so and then decide I think u can make it by november GL

dont take more time. it will make you more tired. do question question question. and try to memorise what you understant what you know.

thank u Pawan and ruby06 for ur reply...it's encouraging...I really was about to give up about NOV test...I will registar Mid sept for the NOV DEC JAN period....do u think I can have verification done for the NOV date or I should registar now...I need to deciede guys...ur help is precious!

Hi freud , I dont know how much time it takes
for me I got my scheduling permit very rapidly but it might not be the case everytime so if you are decided , just apply for above mentioned period you will make it , just believe in your self Cheers !

once ecfmg issues scheduling permit to you of nov dec jan block you can take date at anytime there is no any restriction however I suggest you to take any date you think suited for you at earliest i am stating this coz we have scarce availability of date at nearby center and you can reschedule any number of time without any charge your situation might be different there in Algeria GL freud

i am in a similar position like u i have been preparing since one yr i am actually ready to take the test now but my extended scheduling period has expired and i got sep-nov slot u will never be perfect for this exam please believe me do not waste any more time give nbme 3 online and depending on the score u get book the exam and get over with it otherwise you lose motivation my advice is cram and get over with it give ur best shot, u will get a good score i have finally realised that step 1 requires at the max of 3-4 months of intensive preperation to get good score and not months of time in which u loose steam midway even if ur planning for 2009 match get over with all the steps quickly and try to get usce and some research under ur belt as they improve ur chances of getting residency

yes ur right,I will need to travel to Egypt to take my exam with all travel organization and visa .hotel and stress.....I may have the opportunity to come to the states by Feb at my sister...what do u advice??I know that I am the only one who can deciede..and maybe I am running from the exam...but I need ur input guys...we understand eachother and we r in similar situation...may God give us enough energy to finish with this!

Thanx harrypotter for advice,I really appreciate....I took NMBE 3 the downloaded ones...I scored average 27/50 on each block...should I take form 4 online??also UW and FA r waiting..is it doabale??
