I do not know the answer , but I kknow that recalling four unrelated words after 5 mins is widly used test for short term memory

I don't have sound reason, just feel e is more like to test concentration. please anyone has better explanation and answer? Behavioral questions are tough to me, hard to prepare, any advice?

I read it on the Kaplan step1 review book(vol.2).
"Concentration is ...usually tested by asking the patient to do mental arithmetic, e.g., serial subtraction of the number 7 from a given starting point of 100 or reporting events to which the interviewer has directed the patient (e.g., tap every time the interviewer says the letter "a")."

I agree with C as well. Because in the research that I am curently working we conduct patient's memory by asking them to substract 3 from 20 and keep on substracting like 17,14 and so on
