A 74 yr old man has not been able to pass urine today,but had been able to do normally the previous 2 days.P/E was remarkable for BP of 175/90 mm Hg.Lab reveals a serum creatinine of 4.5mg/dl and BUN of 115mg/dl.Which could be used to ameliorate this pts symptoms?

Doxazosin is peripherally acting alpha 1 blocker indicated for the treatment of urinary outflow obstruction sec to benign prostatic hypertrophy.It is also indicated for t/m of hypertension esp in men with BPH.
