can anyone clarify the relationship between glucagon, insulin, PFK1, PFK2 in glycolysis?does insulin increase glycolysis or
decrease it?may be its a silly q , but i dont understand it.

Insulin induce glucokinase in liver, >>more glycolysis.
Glucagon inhibit phophofructokinase 2, by phosphorylation, there by inhibit glycolysis. Insulin stimulate phoshphofructokinase 2, by dephosphorylation there by stimulating glycolysis. PFK-2 stimulate in production ofi fructose 2, 6 bis-phosphate which stimulate PFK-1(rate limiting enzyme of glycolysis)

PFK-2 is the enzyme in production of Fructose 2, 6-bis P, and this Furctose 2.6-bis P stimulate PFK-1,(rate limiting enzyme of glycolysis) so, insulin indirectly stimulate PFK-1, and glucagon inhibit PFK-1 |
