Texas is a "J1- only" state and in general not much IMGs, UTMB Galveston is a pretty picky place so I do not seen any IMGs neither on med or anest. A premach is almost out of the question as for most "prestigious" institutions. I do not say they are not good but by far not as good as they like to pose!

TEXAS is an img unfriendly state fro H1B visa .. UTMB is notorious to call ppl for interview and not rank them ..

YOU WILL NOT BE INTERVIEWED WITH THIS PROGRAM. That was the rudest one line rejection i got from their fam med program. That too , after calling them up and finding their application requirements and then applying..

yes, i talked to a 3rd year resident from syrea.. he is on h1b.. they do give prematches but very very rarely..
1800 people applied, 225 interviewed, 4-8 img recruited each year?
