I am IMG planing to start the residency in June 2004. I am a permanent resident so step 3 was not required for me to get a residency position. I want to take step 3 in May but I don't know in what state....I live in California then I guess I should take it here...but I will do the residency in Miami...Please let me know how this works. Also, if I apply now may I be able to schedule it in May? Thanks a lot!

go to florida board . they allow to take step 3 before tha residency, the same is in CA. You do it on a computer no matter whre you are.

I am planing to come back to practice in Cali. If I take step 3 for Cali wouldn't it be valid in Florida?
