should i start studying for step 3 now and take it before residency in june which means probably low score
or wait after i apply for fellowship and then take it so that the low score doesn't affect my fellowship chances negatively

I know people who waited and they still got a low score. Bottom line.......you know yourself best so go with your heart.

its better to get exposure in a US hospital before trying step 3-- unless u have some very good experience!
well --don't know if scores are very important for step 3 but guess trying to get a high score is always best.

Not neccessarily a US hospital but Post grad experience in medicine should come in pretty handy. One fact is for sure, if youre giving step 3 without prior experience, it gets more difficult.
