Hi:
In ccs cases, in out parient settings, when you order labs & if it takes a few hours for the results to arrive, do you get the patient back the next day to see results or do you keep him in the office ?
Can somebody pls help me ?

Hello Julia:

My best guess is that if you need the labs to stabilize a patient, or if in your differential diagnosis you need same day care that is a clue for me to send the patient to the ER. If your worst fears are true you can hospitalize the patient, if not send him home.
