California is a crazy state. I applied to two programs there and they want me to apply for PTAL through the California Medical Licensing Board (cost = $493.00) before even being considered for an interview. Even then, there is no gurantee to receive an interview call. That is the wierdest thing I have heard in this match. By the way, the $493 PTAL fee in NON-REFUNDABLE. Anyone else encounter this problem??
