1. adrenal androgens are not under the influence of LH it is controlled by ACTH.
2. MINERALOCORTICOID is essential for survival, without it death ensues.
3.angiotensin II and k+ are the 2 controllers of aldosterone release
4. adrenal medulla is not essential for survival.
5. without cortisol circulatory failure occurs because, catecholamines can not exert their vasoconstrictive effect.
6. you can survive the loss of anterioir pituitary function because mineralocorticoid system is intact.
