i don't have both step 3 OR US LOR's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
my PD emailed me saying that if i can get a US LOR, then he'll rank me high,,
he did not mention about step 3 at all.....
during my iv too he asked me the same thing ( US LOR,,,not Step 3 )

For an img seeking h1 step 3 is undoubtedly better if you can't have both step 3 and observership. I say this because programs don't consider a 10 day stint at a private doctor mostly of your own country as significant. But for others without visa issue or seeking j1 surely they are better.

The best thing about observership is it gives you an lor and gives us our first foot in the system which may help us get another observership or rotation or contacts by all of which we can again get a better lor. So all of our friends applying next year should have everything ready including atleest 1 to 2 usa lors by Sept first week.
