2-h2 stimulation

exact mechanism behind the development of Cushing™s ulcer from raised intracranial tension s a matter of debate. raised intracranial tension stimulates the vagus nerve. This vagus nerve or 10th cranial nerve controls the acid secretion from the stomach. So, when vagus nerve is stimulated, it reflexly stimulates the acid secreting cells of the stomach. This results in excess hydrochloric acid secretion. Gastric and duodenal mucous membrane is damaged in this acidic environment resulting in Cushing™s ulcer.
