I have gone for some interviews.

I am missing step2 and I still have to enrolled for it.

I would like to do it in January.

Can I have my grade and still make to this years match.

Please HELP?

It says on the ECFMG website that there are no exams in 1st 2 weeks of January.

I'freaking out and don't know what to do.

This might be stupid but I really need a waord of advise and I don't have any friends that can help me.

dude.... of course its gonna affect you. you have no step 2. your app is incomplete. you're wasting time. take the test already. without it you wont be considered. period. even then, take test in jan, itll take 3-4 weeks for results... u got till feb 27..thats when programs have a deadline to submit rank lists. they prob will have them submitted before that too.

I only had my results this month and The interviews I did went fine.

I think I might get one position in one of them.

The thing is that is that I'm missing the step 2 and I'm ready to take it but will only be able to do it Jan 1st.

If U r an AMG, sit back and relax, U r going to match even if U do not write step 2 till June ..

If U r an IMG not needing any visa, U have a fair chance If U get ecfmg certified till Feb First week ..

If U r an IMG requiring visa, U only have a chance if U have a very strong connection inside the program and get ecfmg certified by Feb first week before programs send their ranking list ..
otherwise U r playing a gamble with this years match ..

Im awating the shedule permit (will enroll on 1st of Jan)

I will plan to take it as soon as I can - it means after the 15 of Jan for the fact that there are no exams in the 1st 15 of Jan.

It would mean that by the 1st week of Feb I would have the grade

By the way one of the programs already told me that I would be a matching material. The other two interviews went fine but I not sure.
