no splenomegaly in ITP n seen in TTP.

1).thrombocytopenia 2).fever 3).Neurologic involvement. 4).renal involvement. 4).rash(am not sure abt this one) we don c neurologic involvement in ITP nTTP.pls correct me

HUS.....................usually in children...............often histroy of Gi infection............

Tretment is diff
HUS..... is self limited ITP ...... steriods...prednisone. IVIG......... splenectomy...........rhogam TTP ....... Plasmapheresis

Pacemaker I think there is no neurological involvement in HUS........

waxing and waning neurologic sxs....seen in TTP....
HUS asso with diarrhea ITP asso with URI.

i said it the other way around. neurologic sequele seen in TTP as u mentioned above n no nuero in HUS(causes by E-coli 0157) ass with diarrhea. Thanks for pointing it out to me. |
