Guys anyone have any guidlines to answering these questions? Seems to be some overlap as to the some of the uses. I'm sure to be missing the core concept in answering these questions, does anyone have any ways to remember?

agree
Southern blots, ....DNA is electrophoresed, denatured ( open) with alkali and then is tranferred to a paper ( blott)
Norther blots, is for RNA, but because is a single stranded we do not have to open...so we do not need the alkaly.
Western blot involve electrophoresis of proteins that are visualized by binding to antiboides.

I should specify that I am confused about PCR and RFLP more than anything else. Thanks!
