Go to www.ecfmg.org and click on the ERAS button on the left hand side of the home page towards the bottom of the page. There you will find FAQs regarding the MATCH process. Generally you should do the following:
1. Apply for TOKEN from ECFMG in early July. Tokens will be e-mailed starting second week in July.
2. Register with ERAS using your TOKEN. ERAS should open around July 15, 2004. Work on application...
3. Send documents to ECFMG (i.e. LoRs, med school transcripts, picture).
4. Apply to programs on September 1, 2004.
5. Check ADTS to see if your documents were sent to programs.
6. Register with NRMP for the match before December deadline.
7. Wait for interview calls. Attend interviews. Rank programs with NRMP before ROL deadline in February.
8. Wait for results in March.
9. If you sign a pre-match offer, remember to withdraw from the match by letting NRMP know that you have already signed a contract with a program.

I didn't give specific dates because they are likely to change from last years dates. Check the sites (i.e. ECFMG, ERAS, NRMP) for updates. FREIDA is a good site for program search. E-mail or call the programs to see what are there requirements for IMGs (i.e. USMLE scores, year of graduation, US clinical experience...). Good luck!!!!
