Is it really required to get the dean's letter from my medical school, for ERAS 2004? Why do they say that the ECFMG will provide it then? I'm a 2000 graduate, so will i still have to write back to my medical school -the dean has changed, and they don't even remember me. What can i request them to send me, even if i should go ahead?

Dean's letter is not important for FMGs at all and if you have not one, ECFMG will generate one for you.(just for formality) but even you get one from your medical school, it rarely is what they mean by Dean's letter. So, don't worry about that.
