HI ALL,

I'D LIKE SOMEBODY TO TELL ME IF RADIOLOGY IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET FOR AN ASIAN IMG IF HE GETS ABOVE 90 IN BOTH STEPS 1 AND 2 AND COMPLETES STEP 3 .

WHAT IS THE CHANCE IF SOMEONE TRIES TO GO INTO RAD AFTER A YEAR OR TWO IN INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY ?

It is not impossible but very tough. I mean score can not help you alone since one of my friends with fantastic resume and 99/99(real one!) couldn't get accepted in radiology. Most of FMGs entering into radiology are those who are already a radiologist from their home and some of them first take the fellowship and after that they will go for residency.
If you enter a good IM program then you may have the chance to know people and then connections may work for you but remember that even with a strong connection you need to have an outstanding resume because the competition is very tough.
