goljan audio- spectrin is the most common defect in hereditary spherocytosis

goljan audio- eosinophilia is NOT seen in protozoal infections
first aid- eosinophilia is seen in protozoal infections

The truth is 97% of men are infertile due to Cong. absence of vas deferens. They produce normal sperms but they cant be ejaculated. As for women they have an fertility difficulty what they have is thick mucus which with medication can be thinned(robuttusin has been used). Severe CF patients have problems with ovulation due to amenorhea .
So the RR statement is true and not the audio.

Dear Brother
In cystic fibrosis males are infertile due to absence of Vas defererence and epidydimus.
(Obstructive azoospermia) Spermatogenesis is Ok

But females are not NOT INFERTILE rather have reduced fertility due to
-chronic lung infection
-malabsorption --------> nuitritional deficiency (ch.pancreatic insufficiency)
-Thikc mucus plug at the os.

But there are chances that they can get pregnant.

Best of luck
