About LOR from Prof. who is leave the institute - doc4mle

Hi Everyone,

My professor who is to give me LOR ( of 3 years of experience under him) is planning to leave the current institute... Can I use his LOR on current institute letterhead for coming match?

1) Can I take LOR before he leaves the institute at latest date possible?
Becoz by the time I apply for MAtch he may have left the institute.... Will this LOR be ok?

What if he leaves after I Apply for match??

Do the PDs verify the LORs? Which address are these queries usually referred to? The personal address ( recommender's) or institutes' ?


Will my providing the email ID on LOR help in case such a thing happens?

2) My Department Chair has retired but is ready to give me LOR as Ex HOD/Chair , depratment on the Letter head.. IS this Fine?? wrt above queries?

if anyone has faced/known of similar thing may please help with the suggestions..
