Students who have graduated from non-US medical schools must pass all three steps of the USMLE to be licensed to practice in the US, regardless of the title of their degree. Overall pass rates for first time USMLE Step 1 test takers are: 93% for U.S. MD medical school graduates, 76% for U.S. osteopathic medical school graduates, and 71% for foreign medical school graduates

it just means what it says.. that you have to give all the three steps , you may be a specialist( M.D or M.S) from your country , but if u want to work in th usa , then u have to give all the 3 steps..

what is the diff. b/w step 3 & step 2 CS
