hi is someone planning to apply for ophthalmology ??

I have plan to apply in Ophthalmology..Currently working as a research assistant with an eye institute.

just out of curiosity, what are your scores? are you IMG's? did you do residency in your home countries?

Im just really interested in ophthamlology... I want to know what you are doing so maybe i'll follow your advice.

i did 02 year of residency and since i came here(18 months) i had been working like an ophthalmic tech

tell me one thing: for specialist match you need also to apply to nrmp for pgy-1. does that mean that you need two copies of each and every document (two mspes for example)? one for the nrmp and the other for sfmatch? sounds like a dumb question, but i need to find out. thank you

yes youy need 02 copies of the LOR. for the mspes, ophthalmology needs nore a dean letter than an eval but when i called they said it s better to have but if you don't it s not a big deal

I mean if you have a letter from the dean of your school, it will be good if you don't they said it s not a big deal
