West Penn Program Closed??? - stony_meadow

Hey guys,
Hey guys, I called up the Western Pennsylvania Hospital Surgery Program, Pittsburgh and was told that the program was closed as from June 30 this year. Anyone heard about or has an idea on this?

tanx rytdoc, but i called d same number on dat page and the lady, Pam, twice answered and gave me the information above as regards the program being closed, so its really confusing.

I had emailed her long time back asking her about the program and a few other stuffs
she replied but she didnt answer anything abt surgical residency though
i didnt notice much then
but when i saw the email tody from my email folder - i realised
its interesting to note though
but we are the ones to loose
dont know why they closed it
did you ask her at all

i av gotten confirmation from some1 else who called d program... the surgery residency program is officially closed and dey dnt plan to re-open it anytime soon. I av no info on why it was done but i gather the info will soon be updated on FREIDA and ERAS. Ha! gues dats one less program to apply to, peace y'all!
