Don't worry, it seems that ECFMG works pretty efficiently, your document will be scanned to uploaded in less a week once they receive them.
As for me, I am thinking applying 40-50 programs, need to do more research about the programs.

well i did apply to pathology last year...but flunked my CS ...got calls from 5 programs by then...so had to withdraw and cancelled my interviews...coz I was not in US at that time and did have some financial constraints then......i'm a 2005 grad.,doing fellowship in home country,93/97...eventually passed my CS this year...but not going for this yr's match...coz i think in order to compensate for this attempt...and if I need to get into a reasonable program...I shud have step 3 and some observership/USCE...so thot I shud rather go for next year witha strong CV...don't know if I'm doing a rite thing or not...but last year i rushed into things...in a 7 mth period i was done with step 1,2 and expected CS to be cleared..
but now i'm bit apprehensive that may be strong credentials are more important...but next year wud'nt I be too late?...but can't help it now...have to go next year... would appreciate your input...if u've any suggestions...

Shattered, you are fresh graduate and have excellent scores, so I believe you are a strong applicant. I was ECFMG certified last year, but I decided to wait a another year, part of the reason is that I wan ti have some clinical exposure and make my CV stronger.
I totally understand your thinking, but hey, if it is not too late, why not give it a try this year?

guys u scare me ...... i am applying with no ecfmg .... just with step 1 score, CS pass and CK score in late oct hopefully........tho have usce and US publications......... my philosophy is let the PDs decide ...... and who knows what will happen next year with rules changing all the time ...... its upto u tho what to do
