No, you do not have to include a letter of address to a particular person. The personal statement is a short essay about you. It is not a letter.

There is a difference between your LOR and your Personal Statement.

You dont have to address your PS to anyone.

But since it is an essay, it might be good for it to have a title.

The program director doesnt need you to add your AAMC ID or EMAIL addresss to the PS, because they downloaded it from your site anyway. The know who they got it from.

But all the PS websites seem to advise giving it a "catchy title" that pops out at them.

So dont just title your Surgery PS as "PS FOR SURGERY".

All the best.

It doesn't matter.

ERAS clearly mentioned that, programme directors can't view the title.

It is useful to identify the right statement for right programme/specialty, if u make multiple PS.

I am agree with pranav....no need to worry about title.....when PD download our application , they already have our AAMC id....not PS title. If you include in the body of PS , than only they can read title.
