HELP NEEDED ABOUT USMLE WORLD SCORE n score advice - reddys

Hai today first time i have started usmleworld online...i did all qs of GIT ONLY AND I GOT 40% ......LATER my brother did same qs what i did next to me.....he got 44%...but here over all cumulative result is 42%....here my question is how come my brother score added to it and cumulative score is now average of our both scores..i mean 40+44=84 so cumulative is 42%.....

my brother did used qs of mine..i thought it doesnt reflect in cumulative score.....hows that...

and also during login time there are 2 options of PROXY and NO PROXY...it is in NO proxy automatically so i contined n logged as no proxy mode...wats that proxy/no proxy in usmle world...

First attempt in GIT with all subgroups like histo,embryo,physio and pharma EXCEPT patho of git i got 40% in first attempt in 1st day.....any problem with my score initially...just i gave i read of kaplan.....any advices....

first of all, u did great by scoring 40% after giving kaplan 1 read. to make the best use of uw is not to think about the percentile and use it as a learning tool. read carefully all the explanation, many things are out of kaplan and u have to make notes from it. because just before test u dont have time to go through all 2036 questions. then u will review the notes. u r in the stage of geathering informations, not in the stage of evaluating urself. and yes it affects the cumulative score if u use used questions. but i dont know how. i saw that option proxy/no proxy option and didnt bother about it. it was set on no proxy mood and i did it that way. just stick to it and u will do better.

abt the first thing - well now u know that used questions redoing also adds up to percentage ( it does , i agree)

second thing - i dont think there is any point worrying about proxy/no proxy coz tht thing is launched new in usmleworld and atleast i and many people around me dont know what this is.

third thing - focus on learning from usmleworld . 1st day 1 read , that too of git - i 'd say the sample size is too small to make any recommendations for further studies.. learn what u did wrong , add to book what u came to know extra , do atleast 400-500 qs of different subjects and then u may start worryin' if ur score is below 50-55% still
