have no idea about IM prog... but heard that its good...
about prematches you can check on NRMP...

well let me put in my friend's words who gave his iv 2 yrs before there...

" we were about 25 candidates waiting in the hall.. than PD came and gave a little speech about program and left... we all were waiting for the IVs than all of sudden group of residents came in and took one candidate with them each. took a IV and thats it...
IV day was over just like that......so bottom line is that they select their candidates either just by applications or by contacts"

Now they might have changed system. so its upto you believe or not...but I do...
