10 hours baby with jaundice in Nursery born at 38 weeks. Normal Pregnancy. Mother tested postive to syphilis, toxo, hiv, rubella and GBS but treated..

Case should be shifted to ICU

Baby should have stable vitals..
Order;
blood type
cbc
crp
direct coombs
lft/bilirubin levels
iva
input/output
vitals/4hr

(if hemolysis)

continue breast feed
hb/hct/8 hr
bilirubin levels/8 hr

Monitor the baby freuently....

If bilirubin levels are raised above 12 or so..

Start Phototherapy
erythromycin eye ointment
iv D5 0.25% ns

Monitor bilirubin levels

and discontinue phototherapy..


U guys know what to do on 5 min screen

schedule for vaccines, counsel, follo up visits with cbc, bilirubin levels
