œWe are pleased to announce the appointment of Jeanette Morrison, MD as
Program Director of our Internal Medicine Residency Program effective 1/5/09.
Dr. Morrison comes to our program with outstanding credentials and
demonstrated leadership in graduate medical education. Just prior to coming
to our program, Dr. Morrison served as Associate Program Director for the
Internal Medicine Residency Program at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in
Park Ridge Illinois. While there, she also served as an attending physician
and medical consult for pre-surgical testing clinic. She holds a faculty
appointment at the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine
at the Chicago Medical School and serves on many school based committees. In
addition to her many accomplishments and recognitions, Dr. Morrison is a
Fellow of the American College of Physicians and an active member of the
Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine.
Under Dr. Morrison™s leadership, we are confident of our program™s continued
success as we consider the potential changes that may occur in July 2010 with
a planned split into two separate programs. We are confident that we will
continue to provide a quality training experiences in the future and meet the
needs of residents interested in a career in primary care or
sub-specialization.
