Gosh star12345 seeing this thread prompted me to calculate what i spend in this journey.

Just tallied my USMLE expense spreadsheet. almost as nearly as yours $14535 with today's conversion rate of INR 50.9 for 1$

But like pubmed said matching is priceless. and i matched. praise be to God.

average expense for an applicant ( IMG) would range around - 10000$- 18000$ ... + any masters' degree expenses

Just remember ... AMGs are some what 150,000 $-200,000$ in their med school education debt!

So what we people spend is just peanuts compared to their's

I myself found some consolation comparing the two figures!

yes pubmed that's true i agree completely. we can complaint on that accord.

At least it's only half the fees for a PG course in deemed universities in India. The stress and uncertainty is what eats us out more than the expenses.

By god's grace I matched, for all these days I was tensed and didnt thought abt what I spent. Getting residency is priceless and we cant compare cost of getting residency with $. Just now calculated the amount and wanted to share with u guys, thats all.

AMG debt include all their expenses to live during med school, am I right?
