hey the best bet is, go seperatly. If ur wife matched ina program and u dint, she can pull u next year. Dont apply together,its been very competitive these year and the chances of getting seat becomes thin with ur scores. So apply seperatly and if suppose u ppl matched in different program ,there is always a chance of transfer in 2nd year. If one matched and other dont, then one can pull in there prog nx year.

ya, I also think the same..
but can I do something like this?
we both apply togather in some programs while separately in other.. so even if we don't match togather, we have chance of matching separately..I don't know if we can really do that or not..

This year, 788 couples applied for couple match.
Out of those, 706 couples matched, both of them.
Source- NRMP.
It is not abt same hospital, it is abt same area too.
I do think, applying in diff. fields gives you advantage. It is tough if u apply in same field and have diff. acores and diff. CV.
