direct tenderness and rebound tenderness - dxm
#1
Do we do these two at the same time? or seperately, like palpate first to check direct tenderness, then press again and quickly realease to check rebound tenderness?

my plan was that if pt says that there is tenderness, DONT let go immediately(although we are tempted to do just that), but press a little more deep and then let go with a flourish ie show the pt that u are letting go by raising yr hand quite high in the air, then ask him if it pains when u press in or let go. then he will tell you. this probably the way they elicit rebound tenderness
