really depressed - prostaglandin
#1
hi guys,
graduated in 2003 started to prepare for step 1 since last march.i wa scoring from 54 60 percent in q bank and then decided to take the exam in november.
i took the exam and just scored 65.i was shocked.
i felt the exam comprising every different type of question hard and easy but doable.but i did not expect tht result at all.
now my exam is in april 21 .i did kaplan again there is a BIT improvement i feel.but i have started to do the kaplan questions in thye cd not the q bank and at this time scoring in the 40's.terribely horribly depressed....
i also started to do nms questions .in those i am doing 60 plus.
but i feel the nms questions in cd are easier than the actual exam
before i gave the exam in november i did nbme and scored 300 and 330 in both forums.

i have decided to do the nbme forum once again after another revision.
i am in a miserable position crying at this time.wasted one chance...
dont know wat to do ........

hi prostaglandin,
i know it feels terrible to get that score n re do all the efforts again.
but u haev to step up on the stone n move ahead.what books did u read?what were u weak subjects?try to reinforce those and when u r doing the qs try to think what made u pick the wrong answer[ie.get ur weakness]n dont repeat that mistake.
for instance i had noticed that i would pick n ans after reading the first 2 lines o the q without reading it fully n i went wrong so i then corrected that habit of mine...
u still hav more than a month an u can do it this time!!
haev confidence and belief in urself!
good luck
