Tests which should be done before starting anti TB drugs are
baseline visual exam & baseline eye exam, because Ethambutol can cause optic neuritis.

HUS triad - Hemolitic anemia, uremia, thrombocytopenia
TTP - HUS+ fever, neurologic symptoms.

other than holosystolic murmur vsd can also have diastolic murmur

I always confuse b/w this two:
Acidosis cause hyperkalemia
Alkalosis cause hypokalemia

lazygenius think like this : Acidosis means too much hydrogen which goes in the cell and kick potassium out of cell causing hyperkalemia while alkalosis is opposite.. just remember one and the other is opposite

Ca oxalate stone MC type (70%)

risk of periop MI and b-blockers - b-blockers has bin proven to reduce risk of periop MI.
Risk factors age >70, high risk surg - intraperito or intrathoracic, hx of stroke, hx of MI, DM, current angina, CRF......periop b-blocker (b1 prefered) indicated in anybody with 1 or more risk.

Lens dislocation in:
Marfan syndrome=upward
Homocystienuria=downward.
