during a boxing match, a person gets knocked out by blow to lateral skull. he loses conscousness and then recovers a few minutes and is asymptomatic for 12 hours but but then starts to get headache, mental status changes, nausea and vomitig. which is most likely diag.
a. sub arachnoid hge
b. sub dural hbe
c. basiler skull fracture
d. intracerebral hge.
e. epidural haematoma

I think the answer is e.........epidural hematoma; usu caused by rupture of the middle meningeal artery; and characterized by lucid intervals.

shouldn't he just loose consciousness after a while if it's epidural?
