I had my interview yesterday at chennai- it was a breeze. 30 sec iv.

1. How many times and why did you travel to US previously
2.Which University and when do you plan to leave

My VO signed the DS2019 and handed it to me across the counter.
"Your visa has been issued, your passport will be couriered to you within a week........"

(Just fill your forms properly and get the documents according to the guidance sheet for J1 applicants. No evidence of finance/ ties asked)

got my passport via courier today...... thank you all.
some loosers were scaring everyone in the forum .....it aint at all like what they said.

For how long was the Visa issued? The VO himself told, is the program 3 years but issued it till July 30 2010.

Did he give the DS back to u at the counter? Bcoz mine came out stapled tightly to the passport and I hope we can take it off the passport
